A little purple monkey swinging in the air. Nosing around, it stretches out, dangling by its tail. That's the symbol of The GrOOming, the electronic music band, who was born in 2007 by Paolo Girelli (bass guitar) and Giacomo Vanelli's - Giackxx (dj and synth) inspiration and creativity. Among their muses we can count the Bristol sound, the Massive Attack trip hop, Tricky and Portishead. A creative route snaking between music, trend, and peculiarity, which has become richer and richer every day along the years, also thanks to Emanuele Alosi's (drums) and Daniele Falletta's (electric guitar) backing. With the purpose to give birth to a many-sided set of screenings and strong video performances, where sounds and colours melt together. Always looking for new way to express their wit in art, the band is named after the English word describing the mutual cleaning practice used by several primate. In music, this idea is translated in a proper creative and interactive laboratory. Melodies and images bonding together, unseparably. The outcome is the creation of an artistic corporate, in which musicians, dancers, actors, writers, graphic designers, producers and filmmakers give their precious contribution and concur in enhancing the emotional impact of the band. Step by step, cut after cut, the musical experience is enriched by brilliant partnerships. We attend on stage and in studio the interchanging of the voices of Meme Galbusera (RdB), Luca Solbiati (The Filmakers), Marinella Mastrosimone (Musetta), Emyl, Gianluca "TheHuge" Plomitallo and Jack Jasellito express sweetness, darkness, sensuality, despair, accusation and decadence. Also the lyrics are the evidence of the meeting with different artists and they bloom freely, nearly unconsciously. A honest interior soliloquy, that brings out the melody cut, using a mocking and monkeying English language, built up by off-the-cuff sounds and words, just like they come out from the artist's mind and logically remodeled in sentences. A perpetual stream of consciousness, in which feelings, passions and sensations join up. In black and white, the emotion turns into written word
